DUBAI: You might think it is too hot for a weekend in Dubai but do not postpone your trip because of high rising temperatures – northern Europe is once again freezing cold for this time of the year. All tourists are gone and the city’s hot spots are the place to go. Tala Samman, a London College of Fashion graduate who edited the first blog to come out of the United Arab Emirates in 2009 (http://myfashdiary.com/) is the girl about town. She is a contributing editor for Grazia Middle East, Harper's Bazaar Arabia and Marie Claire Middle East.

Last week I met her in Munich where she styled and edited the autumn/winter 2013/14 collection for the international fashion online shop at mytheresa.com. Some of her favorite picks are alredy packed in my suitcase.... You can order all looks edited by Tala on mytheresa.com now.

Tala’s Dubai hot spots

  • Zuma brunch on Fridays.
Zuma is so much fun at night, but I love it on Fridays for brunch. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the natural light from the large windows is refreshing.
  • Sake No Hana
for nightlife. I’m a huge fan of lounges that turn into clubs. Sake No Hana just opened in Dubai, and it is definitely the IT destination in the city.
  • Zabeel Saray Hotel Spa.
Whenever I’m having a long week, I like to head to the spa for a mini staycation. The spa at the Zabeel Saray Hotel on the Palm is beautiful - the facilities are vast, and don’t leave without trying the Sultan's massage.
  • Flywheel Sports.
I work out 5-7 times a week. My favorite place to work out in Dubai is Flywheel that opened in Dubai from New York City. They have two studios, one for indoor cycling and one for Barre (ballet inspired pilates). Jessica Alba is a fan!
  • Ayyam Gallery.
We have some great galleries in Dubai - my favorite would have to be Ayyam Gallery which is owned by Syrians and supports up and coming artists.

brings good news to you.
She lives and travels around
the world, stopping wherever
she sees something interesting,
reporting on what inspires her.
She finds beauty in the
most varied places,
from fashion shows
to art exhibits, from lonely
beaches to bustling cities.

When in Munich my
favorite store to look
for the best selection
of clothes is THERESA.
The staff is competent
and always has the
best ideas for styling
and mixing different
designers together.
