MILAN: Seven floors of eccentric, exclusive and excellent fashion, design and food will be a great inspiration while strolling around Milan. Excelsior Milano (4 Galleria del Corso), a fascinating new department store, is a feast for the eye and a pleasure to shop. A converted cinema which had been shut down for many years and reopened last October is full of bright ideas.

There is a restaurant which is divided in three parts for takeaway, a brasserie and slow food. Two floors of fashion with pieces by Givenchy, Marni, Maison Martin Margiela and more. On the ground floor you will find artisan flowers, suitcases by Valextra and Ladurée Patisserie. But the scoop is the top floor, a heaven of accessories with Pierre Hardy shoes and Maison Michel hats.

favorite store to look
