My favorite Christmas cookies

There is nothing better than the smell of fresh vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and anise around the house on a cold winter day. I spent my Sunday afternoon baking Christmas cookies. My favorites are Peparelli, honey almond cookies.
You need: 1 kilo wheat flour (type 405), 300 g brown sugar, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, 250 ml olive oil, three eggs, 300g honey, some fresh organic orange peel and juice, 250 ml Marsala sweet wine, 300 g finely chopped almonds.

Heat the oven to 190°C. Mix the sugar, baking soda, flour and cinnamon in a bowl. Add the honey, Marsala, orange juice & peel, lightly beaten eggs and almonds. Mix everything together with a wooden spoon. Separate the dough into 4 portions and form four rolls. Put the rolls into the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Let them cool off and cut into little 1.5 cm thick slices. Enjoy!
