Italian ice cream in Tokyo

Only in Paris can you find so many elegant chocolatiers – on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré alone there are a dozen. One of my favorites is Pierre Hermé. The fine chocolates are packaged in little beautiful boxes which make perfect presents. In summer I love the raspberry macaron with fresh raspberries and flavored with Persian rosewater.

I enjoy an after-dinner ice cream at Grom in the very stylish neighborhood of Shinjuku in Tokyo. The Italian ice cream maker just recently opened a branch in Tokyo and was welcomed by the slow food movement in Japan. All ingredients are of course organic and freshly made and the clientele is very fashionable.
