One Day in Paris

PARIS: I start my day with a morning run at the Tuileries Gardens. After coming back to the hotel Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme (because it is close to the gardens, it has a beautiful courtyard and nice interiors) I take my breakfast most of the days at La Coupe d’Or (330 rue Saint Honoré). I love to sit at the patio. You have to come early, otherwise wait too long in line until you get your chair to sit.

For lunch I love Chez Georges (273 boulevard Pereire), where I always order the sole munière with a green salad. It has the most delicious buttery taste. I also go often to Kinugawa (9 rue du Mont Thabor). This place has a stunning architecture done by Gilles & Boissier.

Between walking around the streets or visiting the Palais de Tokyo or the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (my favorite museum in Paris!). I like to take a break at Librairie Galignani (224 rue de Rivoli), a great bookstore which has a big selection of photography, fashion & art books.

For some reason I always come back from Paris with a new scent. That is why I always visit the Maison Francis Kurkdjian (5 rue d’Alger).

After the shows I am always so inspired by new make-up, hair and looks that I always book an appointment at Studio 34 by Delphine Courteille (34 rue du Mont Thabor). She is the current it-stylist and always up-to-date on the season’s must-have cuts and colors.

My favorite quartier is Pigalle, which was once known mainly for its sex shops, seedy shows and working girls. But these days, Pigalle has a cleaner reputation. Take a coffee break with a café au lait at Le Rocketship (13 bis rue Henri Monnier).

At night go out to Dirty Dick (10 rue Frochot). This bar embodies the spirit of the new Pigalle. In a naughty wink to the past, they’ve kept the name of the former girlie club in which they reside, but completely upgraded the offerings into something new, relevant and lighthearted. A bamboo bar, umbrella topped drinks, and tiki totems give the place a fun and frivolous feel. At the same time, the relaxed staff knows their stuff and delivers delicious drinks with a smile. It’s the perfect Pigalle spot to sink into for a pre-dinner drink or two.

Tasty pastry at Le Rocketship in Pigalle, the flower markets always an inspiration to buy a new scent at Maison Francis Kurkdjian, my favorite Rochas outfit for summer 2014, tropical drinks at Dirty Dick, a classy sexy dress by Isabel Marent, summer 2014, Japanese tea at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Place Vendôme, a sparkling sandal by Lanvin, walk by the parks or the marché for a nice break, my favorite show, Balenciaga, 2014, and shiny versus matte seen by Maison Martin Margiela.
