Walk Your Line

The beginning of the Highline at Gansevoort Street

NEW YORK: Walking on top of it is the latest fashion when it comes to the question of where shall we go for a walk in New York City. The High Line is a cool new park on an old elevated freight train track. I love the fact that you can take a walk among the roofs of the city.

Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and look at Richard Serra Drawings: A Retrospective until August 28th.

Gentlemen’s Club

Dries van Noten store, Paris

PARIS: Once a tribal art gallery, the new Dries van Noten store in Paris (9, Quai Malaquais, 75006 Paris) is worth visiting. Enjoy not only looking at the clothes, but at a William IV-style horsehair sofa, a sketch by Jean Cocteau and a Van Dyck oil painting and be inspired by the coral-coloured lacquer panelling from 1975.

Hotel Unique, São Paulo

SAO PAULO: By now you probably know I go for a good swim in the morning wherever I am. My first choice is the rooftop pool of the Hotel Unique, which is also known locally as the watermelon after Ruy Ohtake’s audacious design.
