Pull It Together

BERLIN: Wherever your spend your cool night in hot summer air, pull your hair together, roll it up, bind it back. There is nothing better than pulled-back hair to a sun-kissed, glowing face.

Stad aan de Stroom

Zaha Hadid’s Port House

Fashion Museum, Antwerp
The new MAS, Museum Aan de Stroom

ANTWERP: The city should be on your travel list this summer. Especially since this week, when the new MAS, a museum for arts & crafts and folk art, opened in the ancient, newly developed harbour area between Willem and Bonapartedok. The area has lots of interesting architecture to visit, Zaha Hadids Port House, Richard Rogers palace of justice, the recently designed quais of the French landscape designer Michel Desvigne are only a few of the sights to visit. And the Fashion Museum is always inspiring for fashion and textiles.

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

TEHRAN: This city is most probaply not on your city travel list for this summer, but if you ever want to taste the best kebab, go to Padideh Shandiz in Tehran, Farahzadi Boulevard, +98 2122370053. The kebabs come in huge skewers with grilled meat, tomatoes and wonderful side dishes like fresh walnuts with homemade yogurt and cheese. The original branch of Padideh Shandiz is located in Iran’s north-western holy city of Mashhad and is worth a journey.

Salmon fishing in Scotland

THORNHILL: Spend a weekend in Scotland’s borderlands, where you can go fishing or just for long walks with the most beautiful bread of Labradors (it’s their home country). You just need a bunch of sporty friends, your Wellingtons, some knowledge about fishing and no fear of chilly, wet weather.

IRMA

brings good news to you.
She lives and travels around
the world, stopping wherever
she sees something interesting,
reporting on what inspires her.
She finds beauty in the
most varied places,
from fashion shows
to art exhibits, from lonely
beaches to bustling cities.

WHERE IS IRMA NOW?

MUNICH

When in Munich my
favorite store to look
for the best selection
of clothes is THERESA.
The staff is competent
and always has the
best ideas for styling
and mixing different
designers together.
